Meet & Greet
If you are a member of Friends of the Folsom Library, you are invited to join us for our first and hopefully annual Meet and Greet Event!Beginning at 2:00 on Saturday, October 1st, Friends will be entertained by the beautiful tones of TOO MUCH FICTION. Ardent supporters of the library, they are donating their time and talent to entertain the fundraising arm of the library!
Also for your enjoyment will be tours of the grounds and the inner workings of the library! Refreshments will be served and visiting is a must! It is time for Friends to become Friends and we hope that you’ll join in this celebration on the library patio!

Folsom City Council Proclamation of Recognition and Appreciation for Nellie Loo
The Folsom City Council issued a formal proclamation of Recognition and Appreciation for the volunteer work of Nellie Loo.Loo, a longtime member of the Friends of Folsom Public Library and champion of library services, Loo has managed the group’s fund-raising activities since 2002.
After she joined the library group in 2001, she accepted the role of managing a book sale to help raise money for the library. That small book sale became a much larger endeavor.
Throughout the year, 53 volunteers prepare the collections for sale. Books donated by Folsom residents are a mainstay of the group’s fundraising activities. Loo also manages the Booktique, a small bookstore in the library compound.
Book fairs and Booktique sales have generated $160,000 in donations to the library’s programs and special needs, according to a press release issued by the Friends of the Folsom Public Library (read more...)
